SOUND FOR VIDEO

Audio sample rates for a music CD is 44.1 kHz. This just means there are 44,100 audio samples every second. Plain old MinDV tape captures at 48 kHz or 48,000 samples per second. Does this means that MiniDV video captures better audio than CD's?
